Mr. Denys Antas graduated from the University of Malaya in 1981 with an Honours, Degree in Analytical Economics. He started his career in retail and commercial banking and rose to the position of Branch Manager. In 1991 when Labuan was declared as an International Offshore Financial Centre, he was seconded to the first licence Offshore Bank in Labuan IFC as its Assistant Chief Executive Officer. He was privileged to undergo training in offshore banking and trust services with Coutts & Company in Tax Heaven Island of Cayman. In 1997 he joined the Business Focus Group to head its Investment Division for projects in Europe and South Africa while sitting as a Director for Metropolitan Allied Bank (Ghana) Ltd.
He left the Group in 2000 to start his own family business. In 2014, he served as Special Officer to the Minister for Plantation Industries and Commodities and a contract Officer with Malaysia Palm Oil Board (MPOB). In 2017 he returned to Sarawak to serve as Special Administrative Officer (Investment) to the Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak. He obtained a Certificate in Financial Planning in 2008 and had served as investment Committee Member for Pheim Unit Trust Sdn Bh a licenced CMSA company. In September 2019 he was seconded from Chief Minister’s Office to Sarawak Land Development Board (SLDB) to set up the Venture Capital Unit or known as Sarawak Agro Fund Unit.
Mr. Willester Kala has a significant food and agri-industry experience across Asia-Pacific region. He started his career as an executive with IOI Corporations Berhad. Later, he joined Dole, one of the leading producer and marketer of fruit and vegetables in the world, where he spent most of his career holding various positions and exposed to the regional production and marketing operations. He then became the Market Development Specialist of East-West Seed International Limited, a Dutch company based in Thailand, one of the leading tropical vegetable seed companies in the world focusing on the development and improvement of tropical vegetable varieties and increasing the income and knowledge of smallholder farmers.
He returned to Sarawak as the Special Administrative Officer to the Deputy Chief Minister before joining SLDB in 2021 and later became it’s Deputy General Manager (Operations). Born and bred in Julau, Sarawak, to a pepper grower family with passionate love for agriculture, he holds a Bachelor Degree of Agricultural Science with Honours.

Obtained a Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA), major in General Management with minor in Accounting and Finance from Open University Malaysia (OUM), and Diploma In Planting Industry & Management (DPIM) from University Technology MARA (UiTM).
He has vast experience for more than 27 years in the Oil Palm Industry within Malaysia and Indonesia, the world 2nd largest and largest Crude Palm Oil (CPO) producers respectively. He has been entrusted with various impressive portfolios and crucial responsibilities such as; Estate Manager in many Estates within Simedarby Plantations Berhad, Malaysia’s largest Transactional Corporation (TNC) with more than 850,000 Hectares Landbank worldwide, Regional Manager in Sarawak Plantations Berhad with total planted hectares of 41,412 Ha, Senior Manager (Head of Quality Control Department) in Sarawak Oil Palm Berhad with total land bank of 120,000 Ha and to-date planted is about 87,000 Ha. He also has about 3 years experienced as Plantation Advisor (PA) under Teraju Korporat Sdn Bhd (TKSB), and has done numerous of visiting to some of the Oil Palm Estates belong to FELCRA Plantations Services Sdn. Bhd., covering the state of Sabah and Sarawak.
To further enhancing his leadership skills, knowledges and competency, he had successfully attended twenty-five various Leadership Trainings as well as other related professional courses since 1993 till to-date. He was awarded with a MERIT certificate by Outward Bound School (SC 372), a certified MSPO Peer Reviewer, certified Oil Palm Nursery Operator, and certified Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) Quality Inspector by Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council (MPOCC).
